RSVP to Slo-Pitch End-of-Season Party, Sunday evening

Tuesday, September 15 vs Stirling Ave
Our season ended last Tuesday evening with a game against Stirling Avenue. Unlike both games against them in the regular season, there was no rain at all.
We had what might have been our smallest team of the year, playing with nine men. Even that was one more than what Stirling managed to get out. With relief pitcher Dave Frey unable to make it, Cal Jutzi pitched a whole game. Unlike Roy Halladay that night, Cal managed to get a three-up, three-down inning once. By holding Stirling scoreless in the first, and scoring two in the bottom of the inning, we started with lead. Despite scoring nine runs in total, our lead disappeared, leading to a 21-9 loss. Our defence, while of course not perfect, seemed tighter for the last game, which was satisfying.
Speaking of satisfaction, I am looking forward to our end-of-season party this Sunday, September 27. Cam and Jean Ann Jutzi have agreed to host us. Please reply to me by Thursday if you can come or not, and if you are bringing family members.
Awards: Last year we had our inaugaral awards ceremony, which I think was fun. To recap - please nominate fellow players and fans for an award you think they should receive. You make the category and nominate someone for it. Please let me know your ideas this week. (You can also tell me if that was a one-year-only idea.)
See you Sunday!
